This course traces the emergence and significance of Australian screen cultures. Studies the development of the Australian film industry, including analysis of the economic, social and political factors and the myths which have shaped the industry. Studies the role of television in shaping the experience of modern Australia and its place in the world. Looks at a number of of non-mainstream forms of audio-visual production in Australia.
