Undergraduate

With the School's excellent facilities and staff who are engaged with current developments in the media and performing arts and arts industries, your study in the School of the Arts and Media will be exciting and challenging. You will have the opportunity to analyse, create, produce and perform, as you study texts, contemporary culture, aesthetics, and the history of music, cinema, dance, media or theatre and performance.

The School boasts professional-level theatres, dance and music studios, a range of rehearsal spaces, a cinema, film production facilities, sound and animation studios, and up-to-date multimedia production laboratories. So a significant component of creative production is available in programs taught in the School.

Local Students

All Australian residents apply through the Universities Admission Centre (UAC) for undergraduate study. International Students

International applicants studying an Australian Year 12 or NZ NCEA Level 3 should apply firstly through UAC. All other International students should apply online through the UNSW International Office. Information on applications can be found here. Dance @ UNSW

Entry prior to 2012: Students enrolled in the current program will be able to complete their full four-year program.

2012 onwards: UNSW will offer a number of exciting options for students interested in dance for those entering in Semester 1, 2012 and beyond. Admission will no longer include an audition, and is based entirely on academic performance. Degree options include a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Dance or a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education with a Major in Dance. Our postgraduate teacher education programs will also be adding dance as a teaching method. More information will be available soon.
