Our School

Our rich and diverse group of interdisciplinary programs enables students to make exciting links across areas of specialisation, and to engage in theoretical, practical, and creative approaches to academic study.

This includes the opportunity to undertake creative and practice-based research at Masters and Doctoral level.

Our academic staff, all with international profiles, are leaders in their fields and the School is top-ranked nationally not only in the Performing Arts, Literary Studies and Creative Writing, but also Film, Television and Digital Media.

Every semester, SAM supports a wide range of activities including UNSWriting, live theatre and dance performances, concerts, research seminars, media events and installations, film screenings, and frequent visits from illustrious scholars and artists.

We hope you find the experience inspiring, challenging and rewarding.
