UNSWriting: Shut Up & Write!

Do you want to write but need some gentle peer pressure? UNSWriting Shut Up & Write meets every Wednesday. This not a writing workshop or a class. It is a way of stealing time from life, to focus on writing. We will each be doing our own writing, in the company of others, quietly.

Wednesdays, 11am - 12 noon
Bar Navitas, Tyree Building, near the Anzac Parade entrance to UNSW

All welcome.
Just turn up, no need to RSVP.

Some brief info about the Shut Up & Write Movement from SU&W San Francisco:

Shut Up & Write! Meetup is a venue for writers to work in the company of other writers on a regular basis. Writing, whether approached as a profession or as an avocation, is an isolating activity. We welcome people who are serious about writing creative or scholarly work and are looking for the companionship of other writers.

Making the time to write one hour per week is an empowering and ultimately rewarding experience but it needs to serve as the foundation of your daily discipline. No critiquing, exercises, lectures, ego, competition or feeling guilty.

Writing is the only thing that, when I do it, I don't feel I should be doing something else.
Gloria Steinem
