I  teach in Media Studies and PR and Advertising.

Courses I have convened include Working with Image and Sound, The Hollywood System, Media Power, the Media Capstone, Media, Society, Politics, and Issues and Crisis Communication.

My Honours and postgraduate supervisions are in areas such as the political economy of new media, contemporary trends in advertising, and sound/image relations in film/music video.

Professional contribution

I am the convenor of the SAM Seminar series (http://sam.arts.unsw.edu.au/seminars/), a series of research seminars hosted by the School, which provides a showcase and forum for local as well as international scholars, researchers, industry practitioners and creative artists to present their work and/or research.

I am currently the Postgraduate Coursework Convenor for SAM.

My professional industry background involved working as a Media Consultant in communications and advertising, where I provided a range of services – advertising and marketing strategy, media and audience research, strategic expertise regarding new media, technology and policy developments, and copywriting and editing – for a range of local, national and international clients.
