Join the music stars of the future for a thrilling concert exploring music – past, present and future.

The night will include a special performance by the 2017 Roger Covell Fellow Satoko Fujii, one of the most original voices in jazz today and a virtuoso piano improviser. The extraordinary international guest trumpet soloist, Natsuki Tamura will also be featured on two pieces, including his own composition Masai No Mai.

The G16 Jazz Collective, led by Sandy Evans, meets weekly to explore the exciting dynamics of small group improvisation in jazz; from blues to bebop to fusion to free jazz.

The UNSW Guitar Ensemble, guided by Janet Agostino, brings together classical guitarists to enjoy ensemble music across a range of musical styles. The guitar ensemble will present works by Telemann, Roland Dyens, Manuel de Falla and will be joined by guest flautist Laura Chislett Jones in Richard Charlton's Where the Wild Thyme Blows.

Io Myers Studio is located at the entrance to Gate 2 High St, Kensington. Look for the Creative Practice Lab neon sign in our foyer windows.

There is limited parking in the Gate 2 area around Io Myers Studio but free parking is available from 6:30pm in the car park next to NIDA accessed through Day Ave.
